“For in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark. And they knew not until the flood came and took them all away” – JESUS CHRIST (Matthew 24:38-39).
The Fabian Society began in 1883 but did not get well under way until about 1905. It was at this very moment that the majestic edifice of Great Britain was erected to hit its highest point — from her sea-girt citadel extending her sway over a vast empire spreading over two continents, her navy patrolling the seven seas of which she was the mistress, her factories sending out mountains of products to every land from which in turn flowed golden streams of raw materials and money, her sterling pound the very symbol of financial stability, her might invincible, the name England was a synonym for wealth and power. Things could not have been better for The Kingdom. Furthermore, Edward VII sat upon his solid throne and England’s ancient aristocracy ranged around it in grandeur and security at what was supposed to be the best of all possible worlds.
It was an unlikely time to attempt a take-over of this kingdom, but they did just that. It was into this immense and virile empire that a small coterie of Socialist doctrinaires thrust themselves. The Fabians went into motion around 1905, the same year the Liberal Party came into power under Campbell-Bannerman, Herbert Asquith and Lloyd George. Nine years later they had representatives in the British cabinet; four years after that their party was the official opposition, having pushed the old Labour Party aside. In five years more, Ramsey MacDonald, was Prime Minister of England. Of the 390 Socialist members in the Parliament, 230 were members of the Fabian Society; there were 41 members in the government. It was a take-over much like we have in our own Congress, Executive Office, and the other branches of US government.
In the year 1949 a Socialist government ruled supreme in England, and England became a Socialist nation. And that is how it has worked in the US of A as well.
