THE CHRISTIAN EVOLUTIONISTS

Evolution is neither more nor less than Satan’s explanation of the cosmos.

He's not laughing, but the demons are

By this crafty deception the arch-deceiver intends to shut out of our minds all thoughts of our glorious Lord and Creator, and what worldview system could do that more effectively?  It is an ingenious device. Evolution is a rejection of His Creatorship and then substitutes a so-called scientific animal ancestry. The demons must be laughing.

There are christian elitists, notably The BioLogos Foundation and The Faraday Institute for Science and Religion, among the deceived. Denis Alexander and his staff have mutated into double-minded vacillators that attempt the impossible: they try to be Christians and materialists at the same time.

They remind me of a two-faced character described by Bunyan—a Mr. Facing-both-ways, who had an extraordinary talent to look one direction but row his boat in another. This mixed laterality is very convenient if a man desires respect in both sacred and demonic spheres, or when seeking tenure or grants.

Among the Latin deities, too, there was Janus, who had two faces, and could, at the same time, look north and south, or east and west. The Janus divinities have always been quite prominent in politics, and a number of them have been found in churches. They want to believe God’s Book and Darwin’s book – at the same time!

It is a absurd endeavor by uniting the Lord into partnership with the Mud Philosophy. Does the omnipotent Almighty need the assistance of any ape-like animals to bring into existence beings created in His own “image” and “likeness”? If our Lord Jesus Christ were to address a conference of christian evolutionists, BioLogos in particular, He would exclaim: “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you compass sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he is made, you make him twice as much a child of hell than yourselves”(Matthew 23:15). BioLogos’s purpose is to turn true Christians into the same hypocrites they are.

They resemble lukewarm Christians who would serve both God and mammon. But what does the Blessed Lord Himself say about this? Listen to His resounding declaration: “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon” (Matthew 6:24).

It is not possible to safely mix together the demonic Mud Philosophy and the stunning Garden of Eden story. Our Heavenly Father did not depend upon the aid of unclean beasts in the creation of our first parents. He has in His kind fatherly affection told us where He created us and how He created us, and, moreover, He has repeated the account many times and in many places so that we might be confident of the glorious fact that we were created in His “image” and after His “likeness.” The BioLogos rework of the Creation account is a monstrous irrationality and a vile slander on our humanity.

Instead of vainly harmonizing incompatible accounts of creation origin, you would think that BioLogos would confidently uphold the Genesis story in a way indistinguishable from that which God has given us. How does preaching ape ancestry from the pulpit uphold the dignity of man?

They look similar--they must be related

What is more, people are a little particular, generally speaking, about their relatives. The pride of parentage is near universal. Yet we encounter some who want to be known as respectable and thoughtful theologians, and who, we would suppose, have lofty ideas about their own pedigree, become thoroughly irritated and resentful when you try to convince them that their genealogical line did not include simians.

Once while working with a Christian professor from a well-known university, I joked against evolution. At once this theistic evolutionist was greatly perturbed and jumped out of his chair, left the room, came back, and with excited speech tried to express himself. He was so desperately afraid of losing his beast ancestry, he developed an emotional setback. On another occasion, in church, I made a similar remark and another man at once lost his poise and uttered an insulting reply. This would really be funny and ridiculous if it were not so sad and scandalous. Who can explain why persons that appear on the surface to be Bible-believers, get so angry when reminded that their true genealogy is accurately reported in the first chapters of the Holy Scriptures?

We would naturally and properly believe that any Christian who had ever read Genesis would be filled with joy at the idea that our first parents came into existence by direct command and decree of the Heavenly Father in the most beautiful spot that ever adorned this earth. Conversely, one would think that no greater insult could be presented than to say that his ancestors sprang from dirty beasts that were promiscuously gendered in some jungle mud-hole among all kinds of reptiles. The anomalous and abominable preference of theistic evolution must have its origin in an enfeebled or disordered mentality.

Evidently the mistrust of common sense and a denial of God’s revelation is one of the great proofs of the appalling collapse of reason. On no other basis can anyone explain the disgraceful fact that BioLogos Foundation will go a whoring for a beast origin, even after the Lord in His Holy Word has fully informed us that He fashioned our bodies out of earthy materials and then breathed the breath of life into Adam—thus making man after His own “image” and “likeness.”

Indeed, nobler-minded idolaters from antiquity had higher ideas about their ancestry than BioLogos Foundation. The heathen looked up to the heavenly bodies as being supreme and as being the cause of all things. The Egyptians had a sun god, Ra; the Babylonians had their sun god, Baal; the Greeks had anthropomorphic deities; and the Romans named their gods after the planets—Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, and so on. Even the natives of North America had ideas of a supernatural Great Spirit. Likewise the Africans have celestial curiosities, and do not look to the wild beasts for his ancestors.

Surely it was reserved for theistic evolutionists to descend into the lowest possible depths of mental prostitution and there search with despicable enthusiasm for some mutated hairy beast, which they might proudly announce as their long-sought ancestor. To these deluded professors, what a triumph would await science if they could only find a bona fide missing link.

Evolution is one of hell’s greatest and most gratifying triumphs. The evil one had the skillfulness to charm a few influential savants, and, with the employment of peer pressure, lead them from the beauties and splendors of the Garden of Eden to some tadpole mud-hole for the birthplace of their race. A great humiliation has come to many rich institutions of learning—now made the mockery of Hades.

How true are the words of the learned apostle Paul! “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron (1 Timothy 4:1,2).

I pray that the merciful Lord will have compassion on the willful ignorance and wickedness of the two-faced christian evolutionists. Jeremiah, that grand old prophet who took to heart the sins of the people and with bitter tears mourned over the backslidings of rebellious Israel. He uttered the sad and solemn truth about our fallen humanity when he declared: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).
