THE FOURTEENTH AMENDMENT DOES NOT PROVIDE AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS AND THEIR ANCHOR BABIES

*

… the policy of the Government from its origin to the present time seems to have been that persons who are strangers to and unfamiliar with our institutions and our laws should pass through a certain probation, at the end of which, before attaining the coveted prize (citizenship), they must give evidence of their fitness to receive and to exercise the rights of citizens as contemplated by the Constitution of the United States.

President Andrew Johnson

Letter to the Senate, 27 March 1866

Excerpted from the August 19, 2015 Mark Levin Show, Mark and Edward Erler discuss the Fourteenth Amendment.

PART 1: The U.S. Constitution does not confer “birth-right” citizenship for illegal aliens or their anchor babies.  All persons born in the United States are not automatic citizens. The meaning of “… and subject to the jurisdiction thereof …”

*

PART 2: If you say all persons born in the United States are citizens then you have rendered the jurisdiction clause superfluous

*

Part 3: Jurisdiction indicates exclusive allegiance to the United States of America and to no other entity.

*

Part 4: How did the interpretation of the Fourteenth Amendment get corrupted?

*

Part 5: The Fourteenth Amendment’s purpose was to settle the debate on whether the descendants of African slaves were United States citizens. Descendants of illegal aliens were never intended to become citizens of our country.

*

Part 6: The Fourteenth Amendment’s author explicitly stated no aliens or foreign diplomats can be citizens of the United States.

*

Part 7: Any country confused about who is a citizen and who is not is no longer a sovereign nation.  Those who appeal to “Common Law” are trying to make us into subjects of a king.  We are not subjects to anyone; we are citizens!
